I WANT TO VISIT YOUR SHOP! WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We've closed shops for now. We're planning a comeback as soon as we've secured a new location.
DO YOU EVER RUN OUT OF WAFFLES?
We prepare just enough dough every day based on last week's sales. It does happen that, we sell out early. That's why we suggest coming as early as possible to secure your waffles.
DO YOU DO VEGAN WAFFLES?
Not at the moment, but we're working on it.
DO YOU DO GLUTEN FREE?
We're afraid not. Gluten is what makes the Liege waffle chewy on the inside. However, we're looking to bring other kinds of waffle that might be gluten-free, so keep an eye out!
HOW LONG DO THE WAFFLES STAY FRESH?
The waffles are baked super fresh, and we would recommend you eat them on the day of arrival. If not, you can keep them in the freezer for up to 3 months and bake them using our reheat instructions.
WHERE ARE THE WAFFLES MADE?
The dough is prepared in our central kitchen in Hackney every day using fresh ingredient.
WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT YOUR WAFFLES?
The market is filled with cheap waffles, so we decided to take the matter into our hands. We don't cut corners. We take the time to prep the dough every day, let it proof several hours multiple times, and use only the very best ingredients. This means real vanilla beans, the best quality butter and the finest flour.
CAN THE LIEGE WAFFLE BE FROZEN?
Yes! Our waffles freeze incredibly well. You can freeze our Liege waffles for up to 3 months. When ready to eat, bake at 180C for 5-8 minutes, or until golden. You can also bake them in the toaster. It will taste just as fresh as out of the waffle iron.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS CERTIFIED NUT FREE, GLUTEN FREE, AND VEGAN?
Unfortunately not. We produce all of our items in a facility that uses dairy, eggs, wheat, soy and nut products. If you have food allergies or sensitivities, please consume with caution.
WHAT DOES DEEKENEK MEAN?
Pronounced deek-a-neck, Deekenek means an arrogant boaster. It has become a meme in Belgium and is part of the Belgian humor.
